Never get pre mix, unless in an emergency, you end up paying too much for water.
Have always used just prestone in the yellow container. In the old days they offered a water soluble oil for water pump lube that helped with rust prevention as well.
Antifreeze helps raise the boiling point of the coolant over what just water would be.
