I've been rebuilding the brakes, bearings, etc on my 1940 1 1/2 ton.

I replaced the tires with 8.25-20s since I couldn't get 7.00-20s.

Anyhow, they rub on the front fenders.

I see a couple of options:

1. buy coker 7.00-20s for the front and eat the cost of the 8.25s (read very expensive)
2. put some sort of block lift kit in with longer u-bolts
3. manufacture new front shakles that are 3" longer to pull up the front 1.5"

Any other ideas or advice?
