So I took a wire wheel and polished around the steering gearbox on the top of the framerail and I still didn't see any number. Either I'm in the wrong place still, or the number was just very faint. I was also wondering what the original color of the engine was for a 235 in the 1956 truck. One in it looked to have been orange once upon a time
