Loosen the upper clamp on the 2-3 rod and set both of the shift levers on the side cover to the neutral position. Remove the grease cap on the shifter box and make sure the levers are centered in the shift box. When the shift box is centered in the neutral position, tighten the clamp and try it. More adjustment may be required. Be aware that every one of the contact points on that linkage is a possible wear point and can cause slop in the shifting operation. Fred
