I ran a 1951 6500 with a W-35 holmes for my family's Chevrolet dealership for a number of years. I would have to agree with you that they are one tough truck. When ever it went out things weren't good or it would have never been called. It was the largest wrecker in town for many years. I have found newspaper clippings of it setting up tractor and trailers as well as anything else that came along. It always got me back home. It has to be the toughest truck I have ever driven. I have the truck, but am looking for the wrecker to put back on it.
