If you have an impact wrench, that's how to get the pulley off your old generator. Same for installing it on the new generator. I suppose you could grab the pulley with a giant pair of water pump pliers to get the nut off, but that would bugger up the pulley. Or you could pull each one apart and clamp the armature in a vice, but why do that when the impact wrench method works so well?
