| | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 2,307 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 2,307 | Been looking through posts and could not find a straight answer .Can a 49 tube axle with huck brakes be switched to bending brakes by swapping the backing plates from a newer tube axle by grinding the rivets and using bolts to hold the backing plates on .My truck is a 54 and in need of som rear gears and I found this older tube to use and don’t want to mess with taking the gears apart. | | |
