Hy Terry M. and spanky, My research on the Maple Leaf lead me to believe that 1950 was the last year for the Maple Leaf. I have a 51 1700 with G.M.C. 248 power which is not identified as a Maple Leaf, however the 1700 series continued to be G.M.C. powered and positive ground until the 55A series. Spanky I'm not the computer literate one in my family, but I'll track down some pics. and see if the computer guru can post them for you.
