For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 9 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 9 | This truck is my first project and I have a question. Is there a way to improve my braking and still keep my 8-lug axles? I know if I swap to a half-ton front axle, I can get disc brake kits from lots of places, but part of the reason I bought the 3600 was to have something a little different. I have heard you can drill and slot the drums and add a power booster. Is this the best option, or is there a way to add disc brakes and keep my 8-lug axles? Thanks for any help you can give me. At 39, I finally got my project to work on and I am very excited. OLD TRUCKS RULE!!!!!!
If you think you can't, you're right. If you think you can, you're right.
