Case in point- the wire order I placed is with the intent of doing a GM-ish color scheme. Even though a 1951 truck didn’t have modern color wire and I plan to hide most all of it in loom. I figured someone in the future might appreciate the effort. Combination of GXL and TXL wire. Found a really good deal. All this prework had been done before I had my moment of doubt yesterday regarding a universal.
Gauge was considered based on amp/gauge/length charts. Erred on the large side for simplicity and safety factor. Lengths should allow for some waste, but not a ton of leftover. I’m sure I didn’t get it 100%. Probably have to buy a little of this or that. Still need to source some beefy stuff for the main power distribution. Probably source that locally.
