An 8V71N in a highway application is rated at 318 bhp.
The 8V71T was 350 bhp. It had a little turbo that blew into the supercharger. Didn't really make much difference. Even the 318 was optimistically rated, but it was a stronger engine, I think. I drove one with N-90 injectors that was governed at 2600 rpm and would blow the doors off a 350 detroit, and it threw a 1' flame out of the stack on a long pull. I think it went about 280,000 miles before it ate its blower, and those were largely full-throttle mountain miles.
