There was a junkyard in Texas with over 500 1940s-1960s Cadillacs in it. The owner died a few years ago and whatever didn't sell at auction went to the crusher.

A similar junkyard here in Georgia with hundreds of cars from the 30s through the 80s was ordered shut by the government for environmental reasons. Many complete cars and trucks with rare parts were scrapped.
