I have a buddy that runs one of the local tire shops. I had been chatting with him last fall about planning to do a disk brake conversion and needing new wheels to go with it.

He called me over the weekend that someone had ordered the wheels I was looking at, then ended up not being happy with them. I am not super clear on the specifics, but some combination of having mounted tires on them and/or installed them combined with company policy meant that he couldn't resell them and was going to have to toss them.

So he tossed them in the back of my truck rather than send them to the dump. I am super happy with the aestetics. With any luck I can get a couple other things knocked out this spring and get them on the truck.

The 225s are a bit wider than stock tires, but they are still narrow enough that the lack of power steering won't be too much trouble.
