For helping keep this great

on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 36 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 36 | depending on your skill level the best way that i found to repair the 39-46 door hinge is to drill the hinge and put in a bigger pin. The problem is that you will have to make the new pin. i used a piece of 5/16 stainless rod turned down to fit the hole and i heated up the end and hammered out a new head. i do not remember what size bit i used and it really doesnt matter because it depends on how worn your hinge is. drill first and make pin second. i do think that there are new hinges available but i am not to sure on how accurate they are in appearance and fit. i hope this helps. | | |
