Dano, it's good to hear a success story every once in a while. I, too, have used the hammer in years past. When I built my 235 five years ago I tapped the crank and pulled the balancer on with a bolt, but was very careful so as not to break the bolt in the crank.
There has been a lot of discussion about this on the 67-72 board, and a few have broken bolts. I'd hate to try to drill out a grade 8 bolt. On my 350, I borrowed an installer from a friend. Worked like a champ, except for when I didn't hold the wrench tight and broke off the stud. Fortunately there was enough stud left to get a pair of vise-grips on it.
