I haven’t run this engine since 2005,when I replaced all the gaskets as it had been sitting since 1984. I thought I was getting close until I spun the oil pump tonight and got nothing in the pressure gauge line, oil filter canister or rocker arm. The only thing I can think of is asking the collective wisdom and experience here if the pump needs to be primed? Dump some more 15W40 down the distributor hole?
