New guy question. Piecing together and rebuilding 1955 235 for my 1955/2 shortbed pickup. I have an intake and exhaust manifold from a 1954. My understanding (to date) is that it is the same fit/function. See attached photo and arrow pointing to "something". I wasn't able to locate what it might be in the 55-59 Assembly manual or 1955 shop manual. Maybe only on pre '54s? Your help/knowledge is appreciated.
