Been poking around just for a budgetary number. My engine runs pretty strong…but has some blow by and idle oil pressure once warm isn’t super impressive. I figure a rebuild is gonna be needed at some point.
Best price I can find on a re-ring kit for a 1962 235 is about $320. A master rebuild with pistons and an oil bump would be more like $600-ish.
Is that about the going rate nowadays? Or am I not looking in the right places?
