No worries it will fit . There will be a rectangle plate on the inside of the passenger side above the kick panel that should be there blocking the intake were the lovers are .I used the round heater for years on my 54 ,the only downfall is no fresh air and the windows will fog up a little more so you use the front vent or open the window a little.
