Here are photos of the new 55, showing the paint chipping off in areas so don't think the different colors are just a primer. Also the head light bucket paint looks original? They had crap rubber screwed to the step so it very nicely holds water there to help rust. Then you have to love the slotted screw for the bottom goofy 55 door hinge bolts, could they make it any more difficult? The number 3 from left photo is between the front of bed and back of cab pealed paint on right side.
Edit here, because I failed to clarify. As pointed out below by 2ManyTrucks. When I say headlight bucket paint looks original I mean the black paint, not the red over spray.
