Gord, I think the LED conversion post, more than just an installation how to, would be beneficial if it included a short explanation of the technology and a comparison list of the specifications for all available headlights (Incandescent, Halogen, LED, forget HID, forget LASER) that are DOT approved. What would we do if we can no longer buy incandescent headlights? That's a real possibility for the future. Compare light frequency, lumens, voltage, current, watts, overall temperature, etc.
For example this website says they have a LED solution for 6 volt vehicles:
