What style of heater do you have?

I'd be willing to bet that it is, but it's easier to remove the heater from the truck and do it on a bench. Trying to fix something while laying on the floor under the dash sucks.

I'd just get a double ended nipple and stick the two heater hoses together temporarily and then remove the entire unit.
