I'm not real familiar with the Task Force Trucks, but you should be able to rig a pull cable to the cab. You might have to install a shield to prevent someone from reaching in the grille and opening it by hand. At least, you'd need to either cut the lever off and attach the cable, or possibly modify the latch lever so it has enough leverage to work with a pull cable (something like a throttle cable.)
