It’s a generic question.
As far as I can tell, I’m not experiencing any pinging. Since you asked, I have a rebuilt SBC 283 with power pack heads which would have fairly high compression. I’m running 87 octane fuel and I think it runs pretty good. I can accelerate in all gears without pinging.
