Hub centric means that the loads from the weight of the truck are carried by a tight tolerance hole in the center of the wheel that fits over a raised ring on the hub. The lugs are only designed to hold the wheel on, not carry the weight of the truck. The newer wheels will bolt up, but the hole in the center of the rim is larger than the raised ring on the hubs. To properly and safely use the newer wheels, you need to machine metal rings that fit between the wheel center hole and the ring on the hub.
