We used to have a houseboat with twin 283 engines.
The alternator, heads, waterpump, distributor were marine usage only.
The waterpump drew lake water threw the heads which cooled the engine. The exhaust manifolds were different also.
In my experience, it is not worth the cost to convert a marine engine to a radiator engine and vice versa.
