Those band couplings have two drawbacks :
Butt-ugly
Prone to loosening up and leaking
I like the old fashioned slip joints where one pipe is expanded, and another one slips into it, particularly where the muffler(s) are attached. It makes changing a rusted-out muffler much easier, and doesn't compromise the flow through the pipes the way some other methods of joining exhaust system parts can do.
