If rusty, how bad? I refurbished the tank on my '48 2t and it had a lot of pin holes on the frame side of the tank. I cleaned up the outside and used gas tank epoxy to cover all the holes and then I got Eastwood's gas tank cleaner/sealer kit and the thing is (so far) not leaking anywhere.
