White smoke usually means water in a gasoline engine. What does the oil look like? Have you cracked the drain plug after it sits for a while. Water will come out first. If you have no signs of water, possibly someone poured in a bunch of something like Marvel Mystery Oil to preserve it. Things like Marvel Mystery Oil will blow white smoke for a long time. But it prevents rust and dissolves carbon.
