Also as Hambone has been saying.....a few years ago I saw a set of the side trim sell for above $2500!!!!!!
The next step for valuation evaluation is.
1. Good clean Title? Vin plate matches title VIN?
In buying/selling/evaluating an old truck it's ALL ABOUT RUST. Labor intensive. Expertise necessary. Having it done is out of sight. Much savings for a DIY person.
2. Rust in floors? Floors solid? roof over windshield solid? (inside and out), Hinge pockets? door bottoms? kick panel area?
3. The outer skin rust is easy to repair. But not the ones I just mentioned. All patch panel are available.
4. Frame rust out? Body to frame mount rust out?
5. Pix of: Rust. Dash. motor. undercarriage.
6. Another great expense besides "internal" rust and floor rust....is chrome.
7. Of course you need to report any majors chassis problems, like from an accident.
I am watching your posts and eventually will give my opinion on price. An "as is" price. In Canada.
Thank you for the in depth response, I will endeavor to get as many of the concern point pics as I can. In full transparency I have never driven this truck so I can't offer an opinion in the drive line. I forgot that my wifes' uncle was a mechanic for OC transpo which is the bus service for the city of Ottawa in Ontario. He had two manuals that he gave me and Hopefully I can post up picks of those.
