Well the first distributor had a spot weld break. The second distributor the dwell went out of adjustment in the first two months, so they just gave me a new one. Now the third distributor does the same as second. It will not stay timed. I have been told that one of the big problems with this new distributors come with a set of points that have a plastic rub bar or point, whatever they call it, unlike the old points that had a rub point made of a tuff fiber material. Last week the dwell was at 40 degrees, not running well. The specs for this engine is 28 to 32 degrees. we set it at 30 degrees and it is already starting to backfire on occasion and miss a little. I think I also, need to fine a better made set of points like the old ones, if possible.
