Hey Willy,That sure sounds like a great project.I have a '53 6500 wrecker with a 261 and it is 16,000 GVW as most of them were.As for the rear,is it a two speed with 8 lugs?It could be orignal. Keep us posted with pictures of progress.Good Luck!
