Most medium-duty trucks were sold cab/chassis style...but GM did offer factory beds in almost every configuration.

Only GMC built trucks for GM larger than 2-tons from 47-55. Chevy didn't get bigger models until they ditched the "boat anchor" low-pressure 216 and 235 models. The high-pressure 235, 261 and V8 engines were needed for heavier loads.
