This Pontiac I6 engine was repaired as Jerry suggested 12 years ago and still trouble free. The crack even ran into a freeze plug hole. Sand blasted to bare gray cast iron, roughed with 24 grit one inch on each side, and V grooved along crack and covered with Marine Tex. Used expandable rubber freeze plug.
