How much oil does it take to fill a two speed rear end? I'm not sure I understand how it works. There are two fill plugs on the rear end. One in the place you normally find one on the ball in the axle, and one on the two speed itself. The one on the two speed in much higher than the one on the axle, which makes me think the two oil supplies are seperate. One for the two speed and one for the rear end itself.
What kind of oil do you put in the two speed. It is leaking, but there is still enough that I can find it when I put a heavy wire down the fill plug. It looks like plain old heavy gear oil to me, but I'm not sure. It that correct?
How near to being full should the two speed gear box be? Is it necessary that it be nearly competely full, or is about half full enough?
