I remember reading somewhere that they used a 235 head on a 216 in Canada, buy I'm at a loss as to where I saw it. I had a 1948/9? parts truck that had the high side cover on the 216. I thought mine was a 235 because of the head and the research I did, but when I pulled the head off, it had the bore of a 216. Head casting number is 3695451, can't currently read the date code (painted over). I've researched (read) that the 3695451 code is equivalent to the 3835499.
