Here is the number off the block.
this block has a screw on oil filter on the block
8921967
GM
The other side is
GM 19 19670

The Block is machined and comes with a machined head, new crank/ with rust, new Cam/with rust , pistons rings like new and bearings/rings in box. The motor has no corrosion in the cylinders but the area where the head sits has corrosion on it. The cam is cover in rust and so is the crank. I was told that it was ready for assembly. I have no distributer, could I use an HEI dist. in this block or should I stick to the old points style?
I did find a 47 GMC 2 Ton, under the hood is a 270 that was rebuilt but not sure how many miles on the motor. The motor looks really clean for just sitting the last 8 years.
Thanks for any input! Im sure I may have left some info out of my discription of the block. Let me know if you need any more info. If you know where I can get a Distributer let me know.
