A friend emailed me asking asking a question about the rear axle single action shocks. Here is his question:
“I am in the process of reinstalling the rear single action lever shocks on my 1946 GMC. The lower bracket, that is part of the lower spring bracket, tilts upwards about 10 degree or so. It is the same on both the left and right sides. It seems to me that the bracket needs to be parallel to the ground otherwise the linkage arm can't be attached. Before I go and flatten the bracket I'd like confirmation that I'm right. Could you confirm my belief and/or send me a picture of your set up?”
Any help here would be appreciated.
