Hot rod guys do clear coats over weathered paint, usually pretty shabby paint jobs. I am thinking of doing that to my ‘55.

I would like to do a NICE bit of honour to the life this truck has led...so hoping it won't be a shabby looking job. LOL

It is original only once, and I suppose if I end up hating what clear coating the patina looks like, one may always blast it off and do a re-paint...I'll know what colour it was.
