For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 6,214 | My research shows the "JC" designation as being for a 235 only with 3-speed trans and HD Clutch installed in a 1958/59 4000 series (1-1/2 ton truck) or in the 3000 series with RPO-227 (HD Clutch). Then in 1960 it was only available in the 1/2 to 1 ton trucks (C10, C20 & C30 and K10 & K20) when ordered with RPO-227 (HD Clutch). For 1961 and 62 they added the 40 series back into the mix (C10, C20, C30 & C40 and K10 & K20). I didn't find any mention of "JC" being a 261. Mike B | | |
