| | | | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 985 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 985 | Well it is finally time to put everything back together! So here is the first hurdle that I have come across. Old vacuum advance was bad, engine rebuilder found me a replacement. It is the universal one that everyone has on their sites. I have no issue with it. The issue that I have is that the clamp to the Distributor will not work with this Vacuum Advance.
My old VA sat at a roughly 30 degree angle from the engine. The new one is inline with the engine.
" First question is "What is this Called?"
Second question is "Where do I get this part?"
I didn't see it listed on either Jim Carters or Chevy's of the 40s websites.
