The funny thing to me is that in the Chevrolet Shop Manual it says to make sure that the 4 bolts on the latch are not tight, and the latch is pushed all the way rearward before closing the hood. It then goes on to tell you that failure to do so will make it impossible to open the hood. End Of Discussion!. No further tips on how to open it!
