Thanks George, There are no openings or flaps on them. They just look like plugs of some sort but the Fram version that I installed in the Monojet 18 years ago didn't have one of these rubber things. The only difference between the two things is in the diameter of the protrusion.

I did find that this Duralast item also fits some F#*ds. Who knows what those guys did. Thanks again.
