I like this shop too. I bet having the concrete apron helps. That is a very workable space. Will the codes enable you to enclose the lean-to someday? Should you want to put tool boxes or equipment in it...? You could always open up a 6 foot wide access on the load bearing wall to enter the lean-to by building a header to support the rafters there.
