| | | | Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 2,832 | Our forklift is a 1941 Ross with a sbc V8 replacing the original 4 cyl Continental so it's capable of way more speed than it has steering or brakes. Three forward speeds and three reverse but has never been out of first either direction. Of course shield option came to mind but pedals are high and close to column with just enough vertical room for the p/s unit. Will pull floor pan and see how hard to move pedals. Might be able to wrap with something flexible and tape. If nothing else we can add a lean to onto the fiberglass shop and park out of the weather---probably better for the machine anyway.
