Most references (even Chevy literature) don't show much for the years '43-'45 because of the war restrictions during those years (civilian trucks weren't built, except by special allowance). There was a small amount of civilian production that started back up in '45. I think it's safe to assume that the '42 engine prefixes carried through those years. And I should have included '46. That's '46 first design, or interim series. '46 second design was a new series with new truck ID and engine number prefixes.
