For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 10 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jun 2005 Posts: 10 | I've had the rear apart for a brake job. There are three parts that ought to be new when I put it back: the aluminum gasket at the axle flange, the lock plate for the 8 cap screws (little lock tabs are all broken off), and the spider-like lock that holds the wheel bearing nuts in adjustment (necessary legs also broken off). Does anybody know of a source for these parts? Can I replace the aluminum gasket with some new gasket material that I could cut myself? I can't wait to actually drive this thing out of the garage. Thanks, Joe H. | | |
