Those markings were only valid for the original clutch assembly that was installed when the vehicle was new. Even then since each part was balanced individually, it was simply some engineer's pipe dream to insist on a specific assembly procedure. Once the clutch and pressure plate was changed the first time, probably decades ago, the marks became meaningless.
