For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 73 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2009 Posts: 73 | I have a '59 Spartan 100 with original 10 lug Budd style wheels. The old girl needs tires and I plan to replace the original steel wheels with later model aluminum wheels I picked up that came off a Peterbilt. The issue I have is the lug stud length does not appear to be long enough for the thicker aluminum wheels. Has anyone made this swap and if some what was your experience? I think the rears can be made to work using a steel wheel inner with longer studs. Comment and suggestions welcome. | | |
