I’m installing the interior door glass window felt that was originally stapled to the door glass moulding. The kit came with staples but I don’t really see how they get reinstalled. I suppose I could drill tiny holes in the felt, but getting them lined up and crimped on the back side seems near impossible.

The trim pieces come with some kind of sealant on the back so I thought maybe you just pealed off the protective tape and applied. I used painters tape to hold it in place and allowed it to dry overnight. I even heated it up so it softened the adhesive. It seems to have worked on one side, but the other is falling off.

I’m looking for ideas/techniques on how to properly install these felts.
